With Consequence, your team can:

• write and review dialogue in a full-featured Writing View
• define triggering rules, choices, branching, conditions and payloads
• preview and manage dialogue audio remotely
• manage dialogue and game strings in one place
• synchronize production-ready content with your Unreal Engine project

Writers and developers can work on dialogue and rules entirely from the browser. When it's time to test, developers can submit the latest Consequence data, switch over to Unreal, and playtest their changes without restarting the editor.

The Consequence Unreal Engine plugin connects narrative content with game systems including audio, subtitles, localization, dialogue selection, facial animation and saved world state.

Pipeline Architecture

The Consequence pipeline has three components:

Consequence, the web-based platform where teams write dialogue, define characters and narrative logic, manage strings and data, and submit changes. (https://consequence.app)

Consequence Client, a lightweight bridge application that runs on your local network, connects Consequence to Perforce P4, and enables synchronization and preview features.

Consequence Unreal Engine Plugin, the Unreal Engine integration which runs your game's dialogue logic and provides Consequence's runtime functionality.
