The simplest way to create a new event while also adding a line of dialogue is to go to the Write tab, open the New Line box, and enter your new event name in the Event Name field. Don't forget to select the appropriate Event Type too.

Once you click New Line, the new event and line will be created and the lines search will automatically be set to your new event:
