Initial Login as Administrator

First, go to the domain of your Consequence project
Enter Your Administrator Credentials
  • You will have been provided with temporary administrative login credentials when setting up your project.
  • Log in using these credentials, and then follow the prompts to specify a new email address for the Administrator user for your project.
    • The Administrator user will have "super-user" permissions, and should mainly be used for adding and removing users, resetting passwords, or updating project user permissions and project-wide settings.
    • For this reason, it's recommended you set this user's email address to an admin or producer address on your team, not to one of the developers you expect to be actively writing or developing the project.
  • When setting the new email address for the Administrator user, be sure to enter your current (i.e. default) password for now.

Enter Your Confirmation Code

  • Check your new administrator for a confirmation code, and enter it when prompted.

Register Your 2-Factor Authentication App

  • Follow the onscreen instructions and scan the QR code to set up 2-factor Authentication with TOTP codes. This is a security requirement when logging into Consequence.
  • Once you have successfully set up 2-factor authentication on your chosen app, back up your app and enter a current generated authentication code, and click Confirm Authentication to proceed.

Save Your 2-Factor Backup Codes

  • Save your backup codes securely. These codes will enable you to log into your account on a one-off basis if you lose access to your saved 2-factor authentication device or app.
  • Click I have saved my backup codes to proceed.
